IT Manager
Rotech is seeking an experienced, hands-on IT professional to take ownership of the Company’s day-to-day IT operations, managing all 1st and 2nd line support on-site and liaising with our external IT service provider for 3rd line support.
Beyond daily support, the successful candidate will contribute to the longer-term IT and cybersecurity strategy and will assist with the software development of our in-house operating management system, requiring a blend of technical support and software development skills.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide 1st and 2nd line support to internal users, resolving hardware, software, and network issues on-site.
- Act as the main liaison with our external IT service provider, managing 3rd line support requests and escalating unresolved or recurring issues.
- Monitor and verify that backup systems are functioning correctly.
- Manage IT-related onboarding and offboarding.
- Maintain accurate records of IT assets, including hardware, software licences, and user accounts.
- Support and enforce Rotech’s IT policies (e.g. cybersecurity, acceptable use etc).
- Assist with minor server maintenance, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
- Report directly to the Managing Director.
- Contribute to discussions on IT and cybersecurity strategy.
- Assist with the development of Rotech’s in-house management system.
EXPERIENCE/CAPABILITIES:
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience. Ideal candidates will possess 3+ years of IT experience, with strong exposure to 1st and 2nd line support.
- Knowledge of Windows environments, servers, and common business applications.
- Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software issues effectively
- Working knowledge of at least one programming language and an interest in supporting internal software development.
- Strong communication skills for liaising with colleagues and external IT support partners.
- Proactive and organised, with a willingness to take ownership of IT systems.

Welder

As part of our ongoing recruitment and staff development programme, we are looking to employ a Welder for the fabrication of our subsea equipment.

Responsibilities:
- Manual metal arc (MMA) welding
Hand welding using electric arc equipment and welding consumable electrodes
- Tungsten inert gas (TIG) welding
A manual process using argon or helium, a non- consumable electrode and consumable wire
- Metal Inert gas (MIG) welding
A semi-automatic process using argon and/or helium (sometimes referred to as metal active gas (MAG) welding when carbon dioxide is used in the shielding gas mixture)
QUALIFICATIONS/TRAINING REQUIRED:
- Nat 5 Mathematics
- Nat 4 English
- Scottish Vocational Qualification (SVQ 3) in Fabrication and Welding Engineering at SCQF level 6 (or equivalent).

Store and Logistics Co-ordinator

We are seeking a hardworking and reliable Stores and Logistics Coordinator to join our busy yard in Taiwan. This is a hands-on role that requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to follow instructions. You will be responsible for supporting the country manager and offshore teams.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ordering spares and parts.
- Preparing spares containers.
- Preparing spares packages for projects in Taiwan and overseas.
- Maintaining stock in Rotech yard.
- Management of spares and tools for maintenance.
- Booking in and out stock.
- Filing delivery notes and certification.
- Logistic paperwork preparation.
- Assistance with Import/Export paperwork (Supported by Asset Manager).
- Supporting offshore teams as required.
- Willing to work out of hours as required.
- Assist with building supply chain.
SKILLS/QUALITIES:
- Safety first mentality.
- Fluent in Mandarin and English.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

Electrical/Electronic Engineer

We are looking for an enthusiastic, driven, individual who is willing to learn and can work well both independently and within a team. The candidate should have a safety first attitude, and the ability to design, build and carry out maintenance on all electrical controls equipment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for the electrical, electronic and control systems of new build equipment
- Responsibility for the electrical, electronic and software design of the controls in the development of new tools
- Purchase of parts from Control Unit BOMs ensuring timely supply for equipment build
- Fault finding and maintenance of Controls equipment
- Management of part obsolescence
- Ensure reliability in design and manufacture of controls equipment
- Work with electrical and mechanical technicians in the build process
- Be part of tool testing in yard
KEY SKILLS:
- Minimum educational requirement - HND or above in Electronic Engineering
- Knowledge of PLCs (Programmable Logic Controller)
- Understanding of CANbus and MODbus
- Experience in software programming and coding
- Good practical understanding and design experience of digital and analogue electronic circuits
OTHER:
- Potential to go abroad/offshore to help with maintenance and problem solving
- Potential for involvement in R&D/new design projects

Subsea Technicians

We are looking for candidates who can develop to become Backshift Supervisors and Team Leaders, so are looking for people with leadership qualities.
The following skills and experience will be helpful, but we are keen to have applications from anyone who is keen to operate mechanical equipment in an offshore environment and can demonstrate an ability to learn and succeed.
Key skills:
- Be a good communicator, with good time management and organisational skills.
- Have some experience in Hydraulic, Mechanical, Electrical and Electronic systems.

Key Responsibilities
- Performing maintenance and repair of equipment.

Mechanical Fitter
Due to the continuing growth of our business, Rotech is seeking a Mechanical Fitter to join our technical team. You will be working both on new-builds and on the maintenance of our fleet of unique subsea excavation equipment based in our Aberdeen yard. Your work will be varied and will range from long lead-time assembly work to urgent quick-turnaround maintenance work.
All tools and equipment are provided. Occasional opportunities will arise for international travel and offshore project work, depending on skills and motivation.

- Sound technical skills, with experience of working with hydraulics and diesel-driven systems.
- Ability to read mechanical assembly drawings and accurately follow assembly instructions.
