The Board


Martin Graham

Martin Graham

Director of Operations

He studied at Glasgow University for five years, where he graduated with a Masters degree in Civil Engineering in 1995.

He worked as a Civil/Structural Engineering Consultant at Fairhurst in Aberdeen for seven years, also gaining experience with contractors Hunter Construction and Balfour Beatty.

Martin gained Chartered status in 2000 following successful completion of his professional review.

In 2002 he moved to Rotech, where he was appointed Engineering Manager in 2005, and was an integral part of the team that grew the Subsea business.

Martin was appointed to the board at the end of 2011.

Donald Stewart

Donald Stewart

Director of Engineering

Donald holds a B.Sc. Honours degree in Computer Science from The University of Glasgow, and a Ph.D. in Non-linear Dynamics from the Dept of Engineering at Aberdeen University. He is a Chartered Engineer, and a Member of the Institute of Mechanical Engineers.

After short careers as an Officer in the Royal Air Force and then in the printing industry in Glasgow, Donald joined Rotech in 1996. He became the Research and Development Manager in 2000 and Director of Rotech Engineering in 2003. His particular areas of interest are fluid dynamics and turbo-machinery, and he is a named inventor on many Rotech patents.

Steve Aitken

Steve Aitken

Director of Fabrication

Having qualified as an aircraft engineer with the Royal Airforce, Steve studied Software Engineering at Napier University and joined Rotech in 2002.

Steve is responsible for Rotech’s internal and external manufacturing and fabrication.

Stephen Cochrane

Stephen Cochrane

Director of Subsea

Stephen graduated with a B.Sc. Honours in Design from Robert Gordon’s University in Aberdeen.

He has over 15 years of combined topside& subsea experience in the offshore oil and gas, renewable energy and power industries where he has held senior positions in design, project management, business development and director roles.

Stephen originally worked for Rotech Subsea Ltd from 2008 to 2011 and has returned to Rotech after being appointed as Director of the new Rotech Subsea Ltd business.

Mike Hill

Mike Hill

Non Executive Chairman

Mike has a BSc in Accountancy & Computer Science from Dundee University and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accounts of Scotland.

Mike has over 19 years working as a Board Member and investor, with venture and growth stage oil field service and E&P companies.

He has worked with Rotech as a Board member since 2010.
